Sydney is home to an amazing melting post of different underground music scenes. We endeavour to breakdown the barriers between genres and contribute to the communities who support the music that we love.
We want to show the world how much undiscovered talent with have in this country.
Our ethos is to organise fun, inclusive, parties that support local DJ talent and show visiting international artists exactly why the scene we have in Sydney is so special.
We hope to take you all to venues and areas of the city you may never have visited, with an ultimate focus on the music, and of course, great soundsystems.
We observe an area of music neglected by the influx of labels fighting to put our country on the map. A style of electronic music which pays homage to its origins, yet pushes all boundaries. These are the deeper, darker vibes. Big Ting Recordings strives to create exposure for the many talented artists working to develop Sydney’s specific bass sound. Be it Techno, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, or Jungle, Big Ting Recordings does not alienate any style of bass-leaning music, we celebrate all sounds pushing the conceptual frontier of darkness, minimalism and breakbeats.
It is our goal to push the sounds our electronic music scene is missing, and help our local talented producers show the world what we can do.
We believe prejudice should not be held against genre or tempo.
As a Sydney collective, it is without any hesitation that we are involved in the holy fight over our city’s nightlife. We are have been avid supporters of both Reclaim the Streets and Keep Sydney Open, and have protested with heart alongside both of these organisations. Our free party series, Rivet, is in active defiance of the lockout laws and restrictions placed on us in Sydney. Although the lockouts have been lifted, the fight is not over. We will not stop until we reclaim our once great city.
