Big Ting Recording’s very own 99 Nissan Patrol brings to the table his first standalone release for his co-founded label. The title track, Codec Tweak, combines the worlds of breakbeat and 2-step to bear a sub heavy frenzy of bass weight and 90s rave inspired instrumentation.

Plaid, co-produced by fellow Big Ting Recordings collaborator, Monako, is an emotive breakbeat powered summer anthem, setting the mood for dance floors just in time for the Australian festival season. Rounding out the release is a remix by world renowned, and Sydney local, Akul, bringing an iconic dark 2-step interpretation of Codec Tweak.

This release showcases how far the Australian bass music scene has come, proving that the nation is developing its own unique interpretation of the bass weight driven music we all know and love.
