One night in 2013, a group of kids from out west decided to grab their dodgy set of speakers and decks, hire a generator, and pop to their local park to spin some tunes for their mates. This simple bit of fun 10 years ago sparked a passion for the outdoor free party scene, a middle finger up to lockout laws, and most importantly, delicious sub-driven bass music. 10 years ago, a silly little party named after everyone’s favourite $1.10 per can Aldi branded beer was born.

This year Big Ting Recordings celebrates 10 whole years of park parties, boogies in dark industrial spaces, and record label releases. We couldn’t think of anyone better to celebrate with than one of the world’s biggest champions of bass music genre-bending, Madam X.

For anyone lucky enough to be there for Madam X’s first visit with us back in 2018, you’ll know that we’re in for an eclectic onslaught of dubstep, jungle, and UK bass-driven techno. With BBC Radio, NTS and Movement radio residencies under her belt, she continues to build on past successes, clearly leaving her mark everywhere she tours. Madam X is the true epitome of the sound our brand advocates for in this city.

And if that wasn’t enough, we’ll also be joined by a local who needs no introduction at all, radio host, label boss, Pure Space’s very own Andy Garvey. Rounding out the lineup will be Big Ting’s very own party hat wielding founders: 99 Nissan Patrol, Monako, and N-Va.

Thank you for the support over the last 10 years, this city truly has a spectacularly unique scene and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you, can of Rivet in hand.
